Terms of Service
Effective August 21, 2026. These are interim terms published ahead of review by counsel; material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
CardVerity operates an online marketplace where independent sellers list trading cards and related items, and buyers purchase them. These terms govern your use of the CardVerity Store at cardverity.store, the CardVerity Collector application, and the accounts, listings, and orders on them. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these terms.
CardVerity is the marketplace operator. Unless a listing clearly says otherwise, CardVerity is not the seller of the items listed; the named seller is. CardVerity provides the catalog, listing tools, evidence tools, and order handling that connect buyers and sellers.
2. Accounts
You need an account to sell, to save collections, or to use member features. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into contracts. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, abuse other members, or create risk for the marketplace.
3. Listings and catalog accuracy
Every listing on CardVerity is anchored to an exact printing in our catalog: the set, collector number, language, and finish are part of the listing's identity. Sellers are responsible for listing the exact item they hold, describing its condition honestly, and, where they choose to add them, providing photographs of the actual item. Photographs of the actual card are encouraged and buyers can filter to listings that include them.
Catalog data, card names, and set names identify real products for reference. CardVerity is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company International, or Creatures Inc.
4. Purchases and payment
When you place an order you make an offer to buy from the seller at the listed price plus any stated shipping and applicable taxes. Payment is collected by our payment processor on the seller's behalf. Prices are shown before purchase; CardVerity does not add hidden charges at checkout.
5. Shipping and fulfillment
Sellers commit to the handling times shown on their profiles and listings. Orders must be packaged appropriately for the value and condition of the item. Tracking information is added to the order when the seller ships.
6. Returns and claims
If an item does not arrive, or arrives materially different from its listing, buyers can open a claim as described in the Returns and refunds policy. Evidence attached to listings and orders is used to resolve claims.
7. Prohibited items and conduct
Counterfeit, altered, or misrepresented cards are prohibited, as are stolen goods and items you do not have the right to sell. Do not manipulate prices, feedback, or search; do not harass other members; do not use the marketplace to break the law. We remove listings and accounts that do these things.
8. Content you provide
You keep ownership of the photographs and text you add to listings and collections. You grant CardVerity a license to host, display, and reproduce that content to operate and promote the marketplace, including showing listing photographs to buyers and in search.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The marketplace is provided as it stands. To the maximum extent the law allows, CardVerity disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the marketplace. CardVerity's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to CardVerity for the transaction that gave rise to the claim.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. We may update these terms; when we do, the new version is posted here with its effective date, and continued use of the marketplace after that date is acceptance of the update.
